Sebastian Rudy joins TSG 1899 Hoffenheim

Sebastian Rudy will spend the rest of the season on loan at his ex-club, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The midfielder remains under contract at Schalke until 30th June 2022.

“Sebastian Rudy came to us asking to return to Hoffenheim like last season. We’ve worked with Hoffenheim to find a solution that works for both sides. It will help Schalke 04 financially,” says Jochen Schneider, Head of Sport.

Rudy has played for the Germany national side 29 times and joined the club from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2018. He then joined TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on loan for the 2019/20 season. Rudy has made two appearances in the Bundesliga for the Royal Blues this season.
