Sebastian Rudy moves to TSG Hoffenheim on loan
Sebastian Rudy will leave Schalke 04 on a temporary basis to play for TSG Hoffenheim in the upcoming 2019/2020 season. The midfielder underwent a medical on Wednesday (31st July) before signing a loan contract effective until the end of the season. The 29 year old’s contract with Schalke runs until 30th June 2022.
“Sebastian Rudy has certainly not had an easy year at Schalke. Unfortunately, the 2018/19 season didn’t go the way that Sebastian wanted, neither the way the team or the rest of us were hoping for. When he came to us and told us of his wish to be loaned out to his former club, TSG Hoffenheim, for 11 months, we complied,” says sporting director Jochen Schneider. “We wholeheartedly wish Sebastian a successful season in his old home.”
