Adil Aouchiche in training for the first time – Moussa Ndiaye to join in from Wednesday
Preparations for the home game against Dynamo Dresden are underway. Fans will be able to welcome a new face at Tuesday’s (3/2) training session: new signing Adil Aouchiche will make his first appearance on the training pitch at Schalke just a day after putting pen to paper. The midfielder was most recently on loan at Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen FC and has joined the Royal Blues from parent club Sunderland.
Moussa Ndiaye, who also joined Schalke on Monday (2/2), is not yet out on the pitch with the team. The left-back, who has arrived on loan from RSC Anderlecht, has an administrative appointment to attend. The plan is for the Senegalese defender to join full team training three days before the home match against Dresden, meaning on Wednesday (4/2).
Moussa Sylla, whose planned move to New York City FC did not go through, is back in Gelsenkirchen and will take part in most of Tuesday’s session (3/2) with the team. The striker will only sit out the final game-based drill.
There was also positive news regarding Tomas Kalas, who is yet to feature this season due to knee problems. The Czech defender will complete the warm-up with the squad before continuing with an individual programme. Janik Bachmann is also back in the mix, with the midfielder reintegrated in parts of training after recovering from a heel injury.
