Sylla back in training as S04 gear up for Arminia under the lights

Moussa Sylla, who was forced to sit out for Schalke’s trip to SpVgg Greuther Fürth due to an adductor problem, returned to Schalke’s team training for the session on Tuesday (3/3).

Loris Karius is not yet ready to be integrated back into a team session, and so worked through an individual routine as preparations began for Friday’s (6/3) home game against Arminia Bielefeld at 18:30 CET. The goalkeeper has been sidelined due to back issues in each of Schalke’s last two fixtures.

Head coach Miron Muslic is also unable to call upon Adrian Gantenbein for the time being. Following a setback last week, the full-back is currently training individually and will not be available over the coming weeks.

Finn Porath was also absent from today’s session, after the right-footer suffered a thigh injury in training on Sunday (1/3). It is not yet clear whether the 29-year-old will see any more involvement across the remainder of this season.
