Loris Karius back in team training

Goalkeeper Loris Karius, who has missed each of the last three league games due to a back problem, returned to team training on Wednesday (11/3). The 32-year-old worked alone with goalkeeping coach Volkan Ünlü on Monday (9/3) and Tuesday (10/3) at the start of the week.

Edin Džeko worked on his own on Wednesday (11/3). The striker was struggling with back pain after a tackle in Friday night’s 1-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld (6/3). The Bosnian, who scored the only goal of the game, played through the pain until the 88th minute.

After playing for the U19s on Sunday (8/3) and scoring their second goal in a 2-1 win in Wolfsburg, 18-year-old Mika Wallentowitz trained individually with the U19 squad.
