S04 begin training ahead of first league game in 2025
The Royal Blues started training on Monday (13/1) ahead of their first league game of 2025, away to Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday (18/1).
Bryan Lasme and goalkeeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann were not part of training. The club’s sporting management have allowed them to hold talks with other clubs.
Steve Noode is still in Austria. After spending a week training with SCR Altach, both clubs are now looking to agree a loan deal. The 19-year-old defender from Cameroon played 60 minutes in a friendly on Sunday against second-division side SSV Ulm 1846, which Altach won 1-0.
Duo training individually
Christopher Antwi-Adjei and Aris Bayindir both started the week with an individual training session. Zaid Amoussou-Tchibara (U19s) and Seok-ju Hong (U23s) took their place in first-team training.
Janik Bachmann and Amin Younes, who both underwent a minor operation before Christmas, are continuing their rehabilitation programmes as they look to increase their workload.
Luca Podlech, Vitalie Becker and Ibrahima Cissé trained with the U23s on Monday and are expected to feature in Tuesday afternoon’s friendly against SC Paderborn’s U23s at 14:00 CET (14/1).
