Three players from the U23s training with the first team

FC Schalke 04 have begun preparations for their final game of the season at home to SV Elversberg on Sunday (18/5). Yassin Ben Balla, Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Tidiane Touré, who all helped the club’s U23 side secure safety in the Regionalliga West last weekend, were all involved on Tuesday. Johannes Siebeking, a goalkeeper from the U19s, is also training with the first team again.

Felipe Sanchez, who missed the game at the weekend due to a knock, was in training on Tuesday (13/5). Peter Remmert, one of goalscorers in the U23s’ 3-1 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf’s reserves, will remain with Schalke’s fourth-division side to prepare for their final game of the season away against Fortuna Köln on Saturday (17/5).

Janik Bachmann and Tomas Kalas only trained individually after picking up a knock in training last week. Paul Seguin, who didn’t come off the bench in Düsseldorf as he was suffering with a calf problem, has also started the week by working on his own.
