Max Grüger returns to training – trio also back from international duty
The Royal Blues began preparations on Tuesday (14/10) for their upcoming away match at Hannover 96 on Friday (17/10). Alongside the trio of players back from international duty, several others also returned to the training pitch.
Midfielder Max Grüger has resumed full training after recovering from a broken toe sustained in September. He had been steadily increasing his workload in recent weeks and is now back with the team. Peter Remmert will take part in parts of the session as he continues his recovery.
Moussa Sylla and Nikola Katic have already returned from international duty. Both featured as late substitutes in their sides’ victories for Mali and Bosnia and Herzegovina respectively on Sunday (12/10). Vitalie Becker, who played for Germany U20s in their 1-0 defeat to Portugal on Monday (13/10), is expected to rejoin Schalke training on Wednesday.
Amin Younes is also back in team training after a minor knock last week. Meanwhile, Christian Gomis, Bryan Lasme and Anton Donkor are completing individual sessions, and Dylan Leonard is sidelined with illness.
