Moussa Sylla and Emil Højlund return to complete parts of team training
Two players returned to team training on Monday (17/3) for the first session during the current international break. Moussa Sylla has now recovered from a muscle fibre strain, while Emil Højlund was also back after his thigh injury.

Marcin Kaminski sustained a bruised foot around an hour into the clash with Hannover on Friday evening (14/3), having to be substituted shortly afterwards. He is therefore taking a break from training at the start of the new week. Regardless of fitness, the 33-year-old will definitely miss the game as he serves a suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Janik Bachmann also had to be withdrawn ahead of schedule against H96, replaced at half-time due to neck problems. He was absent from the training pitch as a result, along with Tomas Kalas, who is missing through illness. Ilyes Hamache (Achilles tendon injury) and Zaid Tchibara (operation following ACL tear) are completing individual rehabilitation programmes.
On top of those four absentees, Max Grüger and Taylan Bulut are missing from training after being called up by Germany at youth international level. However, after Bulut was absent from the Hannover game with flu, it is not yet clear whether he will be able to feature for the U19 side in their EUROs qualifying campaign. The right-back has still travelled to meet up with the Germany U19s following consultation with the club. The defender will then be assessed by the Germans’ staff to decide if he is capable of taking part in training as well as matches.
Assistant coach Tim Hoogland is also absent from training this week as he takes part in mandatory in-person seminars on the UEFA Pro Licence course run by the Wales FA.
The Knappen are also set to make use of the international break to carry out a friendly fixture against FC Groningen. Head coach Kees van Wonderen and his side clash with the Dutch top-flight side at 18:00 CET on Wednesday, with the match to be streamed live on our YouTube channel.
