Vitalie Becker and Bryan Lasme back in team training
Vitalie Becker and Bryan Lasme were both back on the pitch on Tuesday afternoon (24/3), taking part in a full team session for the first time since their respective layoffs. Adrian Gantenbein, Anton Donkor and Christopher Antwi-Adjei also stepped up their workload after returning last week.
The trio are also set to make their comeback in Thursday evening’s friendly away to third-tier side 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 (26/3), where they are expected to get some minutes under their belts. Training was led by assistant coaches Tim Hoogland, Eddie Lattimore and Adin Osmanbasic, who will also take charge of the team in Schweinfurt. Head coach Miron Muslic is spending this week with his family in Upper Austria and will rejoin the squad next week ahead of preparations for the home game against Karlsruher SC (5/4).
U23 full-back Max Hauswirth, who is suspended for Jakob Fimpel’s Regionalliga side after picking up his fifth yellow card, and U19 goalkeeper Nick Bodon also took part in the session.
Moussa Ndiaye was excused on Tuesday due to a private appointment. Also absent were Edin Džeko, Nikola Katic (both Bosnia and Herzegovina), Adil Aouchiche (Algeria), Mertcan Ayhan (Turkey U21) and Mika Wallentowitz (Germany U19), who are all away on international duty with their respective national teams.
