Steven Skrzybski joins Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan

Steven Skrzybski will finish the season in the colours of Fortuna Düsseldorf after FC Schalke 04 agreed a loan deal for the forward until 30th June 2020. The 27-year-old’s contract with the Royal Blues continues until 30th June 2021.

„For Steven, it’s important that he gets match practice now, which is why we wish him all the best at Fortuna – except against us, of course,“ said head of sport Jochen Schneider about Skrzybski, who has only featured once under head coach David Wagner this season (in the 5-0 DFB-Pokal win against SV Drochtersen-Assel).

Skryzbski has made 17 competitive appearances for the Royal Blues in the last 18 months. He scored three goals in 12 Bundesliga outings, as well as scoring in his only cup appearance. The Berliner also featured in four Champions League matches last season. For the reserves, he scored two in four.
