Two-match ban for Alexander Nübel

FC Schalke 04 will be without keeper Alexander Nübel for the upcoming Bundesliga games at Bayern München (9/2) and at home against SC Freiburg (16/02). The DFB have given him a two-match ban after his red card in the 2-0 defeat against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Nübel brought down Thorgan Hazard on the edge of the area in the 59th minute. Referee Marco Fritz then sent the 22-year-old off for a professional foul. S04 will not appeal the DFB’s verdict.
