Two-match ban for Victor Pálsson

The DFB have sanctioned Victor Pálsson and awarded the player a two-match suspension following a disciplinary hearing, which means the Icelander is unavailable as of now for upcoming FC Schalke 04 league matches and he has also received a fine of 5,000€.

The midfielder was sent off for a foul on Karlsruher SC’s Marvin Wanitzek in the 72nd minute of Friday’s game by referee Christof Günsch.

The player and the club have accepted the punishment and it is now officially enforced.
