S04 to host training camp in Mittersill in July

Following FC Schalke 04’s successful promotion back to the Bundesliga, the club have already laid plans in preparation for the 2022/23 season. The team will take part in a pre-season training camp in the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region from 11th to 20th July.

This will be the sixth time that Schalke will travel to Mittersill to prepare for the upcoming season. As in previous years, the Royal Blues will stay at the Schlosshotel Mittersill and train on the grounds of local club SC Mittersill. “This training camp, hosted with the help of our partners, is a very special and important part of our pre-season,” said sporting director Rouven Schröder. “The team will be able to begin preparing for the upcoming season and enjoy the excellent amenities in the Alps, as well as being able to connect with the fans that travel to join us there.”

Unique and beautiful scenery

In past years, multiple Schalke fans have travelled to watch the team train in Austria, using their summer holidays to stay close to their favourite club, all while enjoying the unique and beautiful scenery in Mittersill.

Information about friendlies and other fan activities in the Ferienregion Nationalpark Hohe Tauern will be released in due course on schalke04.de, as well as on the club’s social media channels.
