Fisnik Asllani (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim) had put Kosovo in front at the Fadil Vokrri Stadium in the 70th minute. Substitute Christoph Lang then managed to rescue a point for Austria in the closing stages of the match, heading in the equaliser after a pass from Sasa Kalajdzic (85’).

Austria remain in top spot in Group B3 after picking up eight points from four matches. They will come up against Ireland and Israel in their final two group stage matches in the Nations League in the next international break in November.

El-Faouzi not part of the matchday squad

Soufiane El-Faouzi was left out of the matchday squad for Morocco’s friendly against Mali on Sunday (4/10). The match ended in a 1-1 draw at the Grand Stade de Tanger. Morocco had initially been due to face Ghana, with Mali stepping in after the Black Stars withdrew from the match.

Abde Ezzalzouli put the Atlas Lions ahead from the penalty spot in the 35th minute, before Gaoussou Diarra equalised for the visitors (77’). Morocco’s next two internationals will take place in November, when they have two friendlies planned against Niger.
