Ibrahima Cissé joins FC Aarau

Ibrahima Cissé, whose contract with FC Schalke 04 was due to expire in the summer, has left the club to join FC Aarau. The Swiss second-tier side has been one of the Royal Blues’ partner clubs since the summer of 2024. Both clubs have elected not to disclose the exact terms of the deal.

The centre-back moved to Schalke from KAA Gent in summer 2022. The Mali international played eight Bundesliga 2 matches and made one appearance in the DFB-Pokal for S04, in addition to 24 Regionalliga games.
