S04 without trio

Schalke will have to do without three players for the near future. Omar Mascarell, Suat Serdar and Ozan Kabak are all unavailable for David Wagner.

Omer Mascarell suffered a torn adductor tendon in the run up to yesterday’s game against 1. FC Köln. “Omar will be out for the remainder of the season,” head coach David Wagner expects his captain to spend a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Suat Serdar broke his toe in training on Friday and is therefore currently unavailable for the moment, and will miss Tuesday’s DFB Pokal quarter final against Bayern Munich.

Ozan Kabak also finds himself on the injury list. The centre half was replaced on Saturday evening after taking a nasty fall from an aerial challenge with Jhon Cordoba. Examinations after the game showed that he had suffered a severe pelvic bruise.
