Vitalie Becker back in team training

Vitalie Becker took the next step in his recovery on Wednesday (8/4) as the left-back completed the full training session with the team. The 21-year-old, whose last appearance came on matchday 18 in Berlin, had already been partially integrated into team training last week.

Kenan Karaman, meanwhile, is sitting out. The reason is a muscular issue stemming from Sunday’s home game against Karlsruher SC on Easter Sunday (5/4). The captain will therefore not train with the team this week. The attacker is suspended for Sunday’s away game at Elversberg (12/4) anyway after picking up his fifth yellow card.

Janik Bachmann also did not take part in team training on Wednesday (8/4). Instead, the midfielder completed an individual programme.
