Four players back in training along with three new faces

The new week of training began on Tuesday (20/8) with three new faces (Mauro Zalazar, Ilyes Hamache and Steve Noode) involved for the first time. The Royal Blues announced respective signings of the trio earlier in the day.

Aside from the new signings, there were also several players that returned to team training. Emil Højlund, Paul Seguin, Adrian Gantenbein and Amin Younes were back with the squad after being absent last week. Aris Bayindir and Bryan Lasme are still working individually.

Youngster Steve Noode joins the Royal Blues

Defender Steve Noode from Cameroon has put pen to paper on a professional contract at FC Schalke 04 valid until 30th June 2029. The 19-year-old centre-back will wear the number 4 shirt. All parties have agreed to keep the remaining details of the transfer undisclosed.

Emil Højlund suffering from muscular problems

FC Schalke 04’s attacker Emil Højlund will train individually in the coming days. The summer signing, who played 67 minutes across the opening two matchdays of the season, has a thigh muscle problem.
