S04 lose 5-2 at home to Hoffenheim

The Royal Blues failed to pick up any points on Easter weekend. An effective TSG 1899 Hoffenheim side strolled to a 5-2 win on Saturday (20/4). FC Schalke drew 1-1 on Friday evening (12/4) with 1. FC Nürnberg. Alexander Nübel saved a first-half penalty, before Yuya Kubo gave FCN the lead. Matija Nastasic then scored an almost immediate equaliser to secure a point.

Shortly afterwards, the team were greeted with applause. Unfortunately, the 2-1 defeat in the VELTINS-Arena meant FC Schalke 04 had nothing to celebrate but the fans in the stands can feel encouraged from the team’s performance.
