Bastian Oczipka: Clear goal but tough opponent

The 3-1 defeat is still on the mind of Bastian Oczipka. Nevertheless, he wants to move forward. “We have to learn from the game,” said the 30-year-old in an interview with Schalke TV. “We only have ourselves to blame for the defeat. Their goals came from our mistakes.” These errors will have to be avoided on Saturday (16/02/19) when Schalke 04 take on SC Freiburg.

Convincing performance, but not without disappointments

Seldom this season have the Schalke fans’ feelings been toyed with as much as during the 2-2 draw on Friday (25.01) with Hertha BSC. Schalke led twice, but both times Hertha had an answer. A good game, but unfortunately three players were lost due to injury. As a result a lot of the reactions from the players is a bit deflated.
