50,000 fans attend Schalke-Tag despite the bad weather

Heavy rain failed to dampen the spirits on Sunday (23/7) as around 50,000 fans attended the fan day outside the VELTINS-Arena.

Presenting the new S04 home shirt, together with 11teamsports and adidas

In cooperation with adidas and kit supplier 11teamsports, the European team sport specialists and Royal Blue partner, FC Schalke 04 have released their new home shirt for the 2023/24 season. The home shirt also features the Schalke 04 lettering on the chest. Thomas Reis’ side will wear the new kit for the first time on Saturday (22/7) against FC Twente at the VELTINS-Arena.

S04, 11teamsports and adidas present the new third kit

The second Schalke kit to be released for the 2023/24 season is the third one. The club have launched the new kit, which is available in a fan edition with Schalke 04 printing on it, in cooperation with kit supplier 11teamsports, the European team sport specialists and Royal Blue partner, and adidas. The new kit was presented at the training camp in Mittersill – the Schalke fans who travelled down to Austria got a first glimpse of it. The supporters got to see the new shirt for the first time as part of the traditional group photo with the players.

S04, 11teamsports and adidas present new away kit

In our hearts and on our chests: alongside kit supplier duo adidas and 11teamsports, the European team sport specialists and Royal Blue partner, FC Schalke 04 have launched their first kit for the 2023/24 season, the away kit. The team, led by head coach Thomas Reis, will wear the jersey for the first time in a friendly against Regionalliga side SC Spelle-Venhaus on Saturday (01/07), as well as for away games this season.

First friendly against SC Spelle-Venhaus – training camp once again in Mittersill

FC Schalke 04 are now able to confirm the key dates for this summer’s pre-season. Thomas Reis’ team will start training ahead of the 2023/24 season on Monday, 26th June at the Parkstadion. An exact start time will be announced in due course.

Tom Krauß and Henning Matriciani nominated for Rookie of the Season

The Bundesliga awards the ‘Rookie of the Month’ to the best young player every month. Tom Krauß has won the award twice this season, with Henning Matriciani picking it up once. The ‘Knappen’ duo are now up for the ‘Rookie of the Season’ award.

Schalke 04 receive licence for the 2023/24 season

The German Football League (DFL) informed clubs about their licencing decisions for the 2023/24 season on Thursday (20/4). FC Schalke 04 have received a licence for both the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga without any special liquidity or other conditions. The DFL have therefore confirmed that the club is fully financed for next season in both divisions.

The fans have voted Marius Bülter as March’s Player of the Month, presented by Hagedorn. The attacker received 69% of the votes, ahead of Henning Matriciani (28%) and Rodrigo Zalazar (3%).

S04 mourn the death of a fan

Saturday’s game against Bayer Leverkusen was overshadowed by a medical emergency in the south stand. Both sets of fans remained quiet out of respect after emergency services treated the fan in question.

S04 expect to be profitable in 2023, regardless of which division the club is in

FC Gelsenkirchen-Schalke 04 e.V ended the financial year 2022 with a low double-digit million loss, just as predicted. The main reasons for this were spending last season in the 2. Bundesliga and the final phase of the squad rebuild following relegation in 2021. This should hopefully be the final statement in the coming years with a negative result.
