Germany international Sebastian Rudy signs for S04

A current member of the national team will now be wearing royal blue: FC Schalke 04 have secured the services of Sebastian Rudy from league champions FC Bayern München. The 28-year-old (born 28th February 1990) has signed a four year contract until 30th June 2022. Rudy will wear the number 13 jersey for Domenico Tedesco’s side.

Thilo Kehrer’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain is now complete. The 21-year-old has signed a contract with the French champions until the end of June 2023. The Royal Blues had already agreed the terms with PSG on Sunday (12.08).

It looks like Die Königsblauen’s squad is set to change as centre-back Thilo Kehrer is on the verge of a move to Paris Saint-Germain. At midday on Sunday (12th August) FC Schalke 04 agreed a transfer with the French champions after weeks of negotiations.

Domenico Tedesco extends Schalke contract until 2022

2018/19 Bundesliga runners-up Schalke have started the new season with a Royal Blue-orientated piece of news. FC Schalke 04 have reached an agreement for a contract extension with Domenico Tedesco, who has increased the length of the current deal to run until June 30th 2022. The previous deal expired on June 30th 2019.

During the 1-0 victory against Angers SCO on Sunday 5th August, Omar Mascarell had to be taken off due to an injury after 31 minutes. After examination it has been shown that the Spanish midfielder has suffered a small muscle strain in the back of his thigh.

He has left lasting footprints in the history of FC Schalke 04, and now he is starting a new chapter in his career - Benedikt Höwedes has signed for Lokomotiv Moscow. The centre back has signed a four-year deal with the current Russian champions until 2022. In Jefferson Farfan and sporting director Erik Stoffelshaus, he’ll unite with two other former Royal Blue representatives.

Pablo Insua will spend the coming season gathering match practice in La Liga on loan at SD Huesca. The recently-promoted club based in the north of Spain are preparing for their first ever season in the top flight. Insua’s contract with the Royal Blues runs until 30th June 2021.

3-1 against Hebei - Schalke score three in final five minutes

It was the second friendly of China’s Schalke Tour, though it wasn’t quite the spectacle witnessed in the 3-3 draw with Southampton last week. The Royal Blues defeated Hebei Chine Fortune 3-1 to return to Germany unbeaten in the Far East. Domenico Tedesco’s men struggled for long periods against their partner club, eventually sealing a 3-1 win in the final five minutes.

FC Schalke 04’s opening outing of their tour of China againt Southampton turned into a gripping 3-3 draw in the Kunshan Sports Centre Stadium on Thursday (5th July). Yevhen Konoplyanka (21’), Suat Serdar (54’) and Steven Skrzybski (84’) scored for die Knappen.
