Taylan Bulut taking part in U19 EUROs with Germany

Taylan Bulut and the Germany U19s will get their U19 European Championship campaign underway on Saturday (14/6) in Romania. The team will face the Netherlands U19s at the Anghel Iordanescu Stadium in Oras Voluntari at 19:00 CEST.

Their remaining matches in Group B will see them take on England U19s on Tuesday (17/6, 19:00 CEST) and Norway U19s on Friday (20/6, 19:00 CEST). Group A is made up of hosts Romania, Denmark, Spain and Montenegro. The top two sides in both groups will advance to the knockout stages, with the semi-finals set fro 23rd June. The final of the competition will be played on 26th June. 

U19s head coach Hanno Balitsch is looking forward to the tournament getting underway. “The players are fully focused on the tournament and have set their ambitions high,” said the coach, who spent several days preparing for the tournament during a training camp in Austria. 

Bulut has featured in 29 matches for Germany at youth level and was part of the U17 squad that won the U17 EUROs in May 2023 in Hungary. Both Bulut and former S04 teammate Assan Ouédraogo scored in a 5-4 penalty shootout win for Germany in the final against France (0-0 a.e.t.).

Mali’s national coach Tom Saintfiet has selected Moussa Sylla in his squad for the upcoming friendly against the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Schalke striker will be hoping to win his third cap for his home country.

Taylan Bulut named in Germany squad for UEFA European Under-19 Championship

Right-back Taylan Bulut has been selected by Germany coach Hanno Balitsch for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship. Mika Khadr, who signed a professional contract at S04 valid until 2028 back in December, is on the standby list.
