His spectacular scissor kick directly from a Thomas Ouwejan corner made it 2-0 in the home game against FC Ingolstadt 04 on Sunday (3/10). The 19-year-old’s stunning strike will certainly be in contention for ‘Goal of the Month’ – and it was his first competitive goal for Schalke’s first team.

His assist for the second goal in the 2-0 win at Rostock was Mehmet Can Aydin’s first goal contribution in his 13th game in professional football for the Royal Blues. The Schalke academy product was impressive at the Ostseestadion, not just because of his assist. The 19-year-old got up and down the right side all night, and was rewarded for his performance with a spot in German magazine Kicker’s Team of the Week.
