Soichiro Kozuki joins TSV 1860 München

Soichiro Kozuki has completed an immediate move to TSV 1860 München. With the transfer window still open in the 3. Liga, FC Schalke 04 agreed a deal for the 23-year-old to join Munich’s Lions. The transfer fee is undisclosed. Kozuki had spent the second half of last season on loan at Polish top-flight club Gornik Zabrze.

Soichiro Kozuki moves on loan to Gornik Zabrze

Attacker Soichiro Kozuki has signed on loan for Polish first-division side Gornik Zabrze. The Japanese forward will spend the rest of year in Poland after one and a half years with S04. The 14-time Polish champions have also secured a buy option. If that is activated, FC Schalke 04 will have a buy-back clause available.

It’s been an emotional few months for Soichiro Kozuki, but he’s back to work, playing 45 minutes in each of our two friendlies so far in pre-season. Soichiro Kozuki named Player of the Month for January

The past few weeks have been extremely eventful for winger Soichiro Kozuki. After signing his first professional contract, he went on to make his Bundesliga debut and then scored his first goal in the top flight too. Now, the Japanese youngster has been named as Schalke’s Player of the Month for January with 71% of the votes. Tom Krauß (26%) came second ahead of Cedric Brunner in third (3%).

Soichiro Kozuki wants to write the next chapter

Soichiro Kozuki’s footballing story sounds a bit like a fairytale. Almost one year ago, the then 21-year-old made the move from the Japanese second tier club Kyoto Sanga, to FC Düren in the Mittelrheinliga. He then signed for Schalke 04 in the summer and was rewarded with a professional contract back in December after turning heads with his strong performances for the U23s.

Soichiro Kozuki: It’s a pretty crazy story

Soichiro Kozuki was one of the surprise success stories at the close of the year. After scoring in all three friendlies in December and impressing against Rapid Vienna, Hajduk Split and VfL Osnabrück, the Japanese midfielder was rewarded with a professional contract at FC Schalke 04, valid until 30th June 2025.
