Christopher Antwi-Adjei to leave Schalke in the summer

There is now clarity over Christopher Antwi-Adjei’s future. The 32-year-old will leave FC Schalke 04 at the end of the current season, with his contract due to expire on 30th June.

“It was important for us to sit down together, talk through his situation and create clarity,” said Youri Mulder, director of professional football. “For now, Chris is fully focused on doing everything he can to help the team and the club in the remaining games.”

“I’m grateful for the open conversation and for the time I’ve had here so far. But it’s still too early for farewell words, because we’re right in the middle of a crucial stage of the season. I’ll keep giving everything in training and in matches right until the end,” said Christopher Antwi-Adjei.

Antwi-Adjei joined Schalke in summer 2024. He has made 33 appearances for the Royal Blues so far, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
