Porath and Kalas complete parts of team training

Finn Porath and Tomas Kalas were able to complete some parts of training with the rest of the team on Wednesday (22/4) as they continue to work on their comeback from injury.

Zaid Tchibara was absent after suffering a thigh injury while playing for the U23s against SSVg Velbert on Saturday. He is now set for a spell on the sidelines.

Vitalie Becker back in team training

Vitalie Becker took the next step in his recovery on Wednesday (8/4) as the left-back completed the full training session with the team. The 21-year-old, whose last appearance came on matchday 18 in Berlin, had already been partially integrated into team training last week.

Schalke 04 extend assistant coach Tim Hoogland’s contract

Tim Hoogland is staying at Schalke, with the club extending his contract as assistant coach by three years to 2029. The 40-year-old has been rewarded for the work he has done so far, including acting as an important link between the first team and the Knappenschmiede, as well as overseeing the Knappen’s set pieces. Hoogland joined the first-team coaching staff from the U19s in November 2024.
