“Junior is a player we’ve been following for some time, and after positive talks with Eintracht Frankfurt, the opportunity arose to bring him to Schalke. He has plenty of experience from his previous clubs at right wing-back, as well as the energy and sharpness that we need. At the same time, he has the versatility to play in several positions. The way we want to play places high physical demands on the players, and Junior has everything required for that,” said Youri Mulder, director of professional football at FC Schalke 04.

Junior Dina Ebimbe commented after signing his contract with Schalke: “It feels good to be joining the team now and to return to the Bundesliga with Schalke. The club made a real effort to bring me here. From our conversations, I know exactly what’s expected of me. I’m here to get stuck in and help the team.”
