Kenan Karaman will be unavailable for Schalke 04’s DFB-Pokal game away to Hallescher FC next Monday. The captain suffered a heavy fall on his hip in the friendly against Atalanta (8/8), and fluid has since built up around the affected area.

Following a successful second half of the season with the Royal Blues, the Bosnia and Herzegovina captain has signed a new one-year contract. Džeko will join the team for training on Tuesday (4/8). He represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at his second World Cup this summer, having previously featured at the tournament in 2014.
