A number of players from Schalke’s academy therefore got the chance to impress in front of a big crowd in Enschede.

FC Schalke 04 played a friendly away against FC Twente on Thursday night (13/11) at De Grolsch Veste to mark the Dutch club’s 60th anniversary. 25,000 fans in Enschede saw the hosts win 1-0 courtesy of Daan Rots’ goal in the 53rd minute.
