Hasan Kuruçay back in team training
Hasan Kuruçay was able to return to team training on Thursday (14/5), as the Royal Blues hosted a session open to the public at the Parkstadion. The centre-back had suffered a knock to the ankle during the home game against Fortuna Düsseldorf, and was therefore left out of the squad in Nuremberg last weekend.
Nikola Katic also trained with the team on Thursday, having recovered from a knee injury. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international is expected to be part of the squad again at home against Eintracht Braunschweig this Sunday (17/5). Katic had made his return to team training last week already, but did not travel to Nuremberg with the squad. Instead, the 29-year-old remained in Gelsenkirchen in order to train individually, a decision that had been previously agreed upon with the club’s sporting management.
Bryan Lasme, Mika Wallentowitz and Zaid Tchibara are also training with the team today.
Schalke’s final training session before their final game of the season against Eintracht Braunschweig will also be open to the public on Saturday (16/5, 10:45) at the Parkstadion.
