Schalke beaten in the Revierderby

FC Schalke 04 were well beaten in Saturday’s Revierderby played behind closed doors (16/5). Dortmund won 4-0 with goals from Erling Haaland, Raphael Guerreiro (2) and Thorgan Hazard.

Timings for matchdays 27-29 announced

The Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) announced the full schedule for matchdays 27-29 on Thursday (14/5). FC Schalke will face Augsburg on Sunday (24/5) at home, Fortuna Düsseldorf away the following Wednesday (27/5), before taking on Werder in Gelsenkirchen on Saturday, 30th May.

Five substitutions allowed until the end of the season

A virtual general meeting on Thursday (14/5) between the DFL and the 36 Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs saw a rule change annnounced: Teams are allowed to make five substitutions instead of three during a game until the end of this season.

DFL announcement: All games suspended until 30th April

The decision was made during Tuesday morning’s general meeting between the German Football League (DFL) and all Bundesliga clubs, which took place via a video conference, that all matches would be suspended until at least 30th April due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. This is in line with the recommendation of the DFL Presidium a week ago. The decision was announced by the CEO of the DFL, Christian Seifert.

Revierderby postponed at short notice

The upcoming matchdays for both the first and second Bundesliga divisions have been rearranged to a later date, including the Revierderby between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 that was originally due to take place on the 14th of March, the DFL says.
