David Wagner: It makes the players even hungrier

04 days after the 120 intense minutes in the round of 16 of the DFB-Pokal against Hertha BSC, FC Schalke 04 will be challenged again on Saturday. In the second home game of the week, SC Paderborn will pay a visit to the VELTINS-Arena from 3.30 p.m. Despite the wear and tear after playing two games so close together, the Royal Blues want to draw one thing from the 3-2 success after extra time against Hertha: self-confidence for the upcoming games.

Jochen Schneider: Take the hit and carry on

After Saturday evening’s 5-0 defeat at the Allianz Arena, the Royal Blues were not happy to simply gloss over it. “If you want to get a result in Munich, a few things need to happen: Bayern need to have an off day, you have to have a good day and the referee has to be top class,” said Jochen Schneider. “We only had one of those three things – the referee.”
