Huub Stevens: Stick together and get to the next round

The last match of the calendar year sees FC Schalke 04 go up against SSV Ulm 1846 in the second round of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday (22/12, 18:30 CET). The match will be held in the VELTINS-Arena after Schalke and the German Football Association agreed to Ulm’s request to have the game moved. Interim head coach Huub Stevens has a clear aim on Tuesday: “We want to progress to the next round!”

DFB-Pokal: S04 to host SSV Ulm 1846 in the VELTINS-Arena

The German Football Association (DFB) have accepted a request by SSV Ulm 1846 to forfeit their right to host the DFB-Pokal fixture against FC Schalke 04. The second-round tie with the fourth-division side will thus take place in the VELTINS-Arena on Tuesday 22nd December (18:30 CET).

Draw for the next round of the DFB-Pokal on Sunday

Following yesterday’s 4-1 victory against 1. FC Schweinfurt 05, FC Schalke 04 have qualified for the second round of the DFB-Pokal as the 32nd and final team to progress past the first round. FC Schalke 04 will not be in DFB-Pokal action on Sunday (13/8). Türkgücü München’s appeal against the Bavarian Football Association’s (BFV) decision to register 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 for the competition was successful with the Munich regional court.
