FC Schalke 04 continues to make massive strides in the US. Through Global Image Sports as the new Official Youth Development Partner, Schalke now has 5 official cooperations in the following cities: Leesburg, VA, Cincinnati, OH, Tallahassee, FL, Miami, FL, and Nashville, TN. In addition, Schalke now works with two camps in Tulsa, OK and Westchester, NY.

Jersey swap: Special edition for match against Nürnberg

FC Schalke 04 and 1. FC Nürnberg have enjoyed a close fan friendship for years. Their supplier Umbro have come up with something very special for the Bundesliga meeting on Friday between the two sides: they will both wear special one-off jerseys.

On Wednesday 20th March, FC Schalke 04 officially opened their new office in Shanghai. Royal Blues chairman for marketing and communication, Alexander Jobst, and head of the Chinese department, Philipp Rütgers, attended the celebrations and helped to cut through the Royal Blue ribbon.

FC Schalke 04 record highest ever turnover and record annual excess for 2018

FC Gelsenkirchen Schalke 04 e. V. have recorded a turnover of 350.6 million Euros for 2018 compared with 240.1 million Euros for the previous year. The club have exceeded the previously highest ever turnover set in 2016 (265.1 million Euros). The club’s annual excess has also been recorded as 40.5 million Euros, a new record. Last year, the annual excess was -12.2 million Euros.

Schalke Quest: Royal Blues publish an augmented reality app

The new augmented reality app from Schalke 04 offers users lots of interaction opportunities, including users being able to discover their local region, answering questions on the club’s history or founding a virtual fan club. Schalke Quest is available now on all iOS and Android devices.

Rudi Assauer touched the lives of many people. Some of his former colleagues gave personal anecdotes ahead of his funeral on Friday (15th February), stories they will always remember about the Royal Blues’ former manager.

Honouring Rudi Assauer

Few people embodied FC Schalke 04 as much as Rudi Assauer did. There is a deep sadness surrounding the club regarding the death of the former manager, companion and friend. In the past few days there have been a huge number of messages from fans asking to rename the stadium after him. Rudi Assauer was the man who got in contact with Veltins in 1997, thus paving the way for their year-long sponsorship deal with the club and the arena.

FC Schalke 04 announces partnership with Global Image Sports

FC Schalke 04 announced a partnership with Global Image Sports (GIS), a global soccer company that holds relationships with hundreds of youth clubs throughout North America. Schalke, which recently signed a partnership with Kick It 3v3, the nation’s largest grassroots soccer tournament, will receive access to the vast portfolio of relationships that GIS has developed since their founding in 2010.

Royal Blues to face SG Wattenscheid 09 in a fundraising friendly

FC Schalke 04 will face local neighbours SG Wattenscheid 09 in a friendly to help raise funds for the financially insecure club. Royal Blues sporting director Christian Heidel confirmed the friendly on Monday after discussions with Oguzhan Can, chairman of the SG Wattenscheid 09 supervisory board.

Sevilla invite S04 to play in the Antonio Puerta Trophy

Schalke scarves aren’t an uncommon sight when Sevilla FC are playing. The two clubs have enjoyed a fan friendship since meeting in the UEFA Cup semi-finals in the 2005/06 season, which the Spanish side won courtesy of an extra-time goal from Antonio Puerta in the second leg.
