A routine rapid test saw sporting director Rouven Schröder test positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday (9/3). The subsequent PCR test has now confirmed the infection. The 46-year-old has been isolating since and has no symptoms.

A familiar face has returned to FC Schalke 04’s coaching staff, with Simon Henzler filling the role of goalkeeping coach, a position he held between 2015 and 2021. FC Schalke 04 have decided that Mike Büskens will take charge of the first-team squad for the remainder of the season. The former assistant coach stated he was prepared to take over as interim coach for the remaining nine league games this season. Following this, ‘Buyo’ will return to his previous position as assistant coach.
