Euro qualifiers: Uronen wins comfortably with Finland, Karaman yet to feature

Following the end of the 2022/23 season, Jere Uronen, who is still with Schalke until 30th June, and Kenan Karaman went away with their respective national teams. The pair had reason to celebrate on Monday evening as both Finland and Turkey secured wins in the European Championship qualifiers.

Henning Matriciani and Tom Krauß named in final Germany U21s squad for European Championship

Henning Matriciani and Tom Krauß have been named in the final Germany U21s squad for the upcoming tournament in Romania and Georgia, to be held between 21st June and 8th July. Sepp van den Berg will also be involved in the tournament with the Netherlands. Elsewhere, Ibrahima Cissé will be in action with Mali in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations. Kenan Karaman, Jere Uronen, Alex Král and Rodrigo Zalazar are all also on international duty.

FC Schalke 04 bids farewell to eight first-team players

The last few months have been intensive for FC Schalke 04, whose courageous efforts to catch up to and surpass the points tallies of those teams around them in the relegation battle were sadly not rewarded with the retention of S04’s Bundesliga status. As a result, several players are set to leave the club.

Jere Uronen: Hard work pays off

After over 200 competitive games across Finland, Sweden, Belgium and France, Jere Uronen took a new step in his career on Saturday (21/01) when he made his debut in the German Bundesliga. After his debut for the Royal Blues, the left back was pleased about his first appearance for the club but frustrated with the result.
