Coke moves to Levante UD
Coke will leave the Royal Blues for Levante UD. The 31-year-old played for the La Liga side for the second half of last season on loan. Now, both sides have agreed on a deal which remains undisclosed.
“Coke’s situation wasn’t always the easiest for him. He had to deal with a lot of injury issues but he always stayed positive,” said Schalke’s sporting director Christian Heidel. “Coke has always been a team player at Schalke. We wish him all the best at Levante.” Coke moved to Schalke in August 2016 from Sevilla. He made his debut in April 2017 after picking up a cruciate ligament injury. In total, Coke made 9 Bundesliga appearances (scoring 1) and one DFB-Pokal appearance. In the second half of the season, Coke played 17 times in La Liga for Levante UD and helped the club stave off relegation.
