Alex Král: I’ve never experienced anything like that

A week has gone by since Alex Král signed for FC Schalke 04. The Czech Republic international joined the club during the training camp in Mittersill and has settled in quickly. He spoke to schalke04.de about his first few days in blue and white.

Our training camp in Mittersill is offering Alexander Schwolow the opportunity to get to know his new teammates a little better. The goalie, on loan from Hertha BSC, appears to always be in a good mood and is always open and communicating during sessions and after. He gives an interview to schalke04.de talking about his start to life in Gelsenkirchen, working together as a goalkeeping unit, life outside the white lines and the atmosphere inside the VELTINS-Arena.

Florent Mollet: Schalke is the right place for me

30-year-old French midfielder Florent Mollet is one of a number of summer signings. With two goals in the first two friendlies, he has shown early signs of what he is capable of. “It’s good for your confidence when you start like that,” said Mollet, who was quick to stress that “doing it at the VELTINS-Arena and in away games” is what really matters.

Alexander Schwolow: I want to support the team well from the back

After just a few days at Schalke, the new man between the posts already feels right at home. “It's really fun to be able to be out on the pitch with the boys,” says Alexander Schwolow, who feels very well received by his new teammates, the coaching staff and the rest of the club. Florian Flick: I can hardly wait to be playing Bundesliga football in front of a sold-out crowd

Featuring for a total of 1,397 minutes across 27 different league matches, Florian Flick established a regular spot for himself in the FC Schalke 04 side this season through consistent and strong performances. The midfielder, who suffered a nasal wound against FC St. Pauli in December 2021, played in each of Schalke’s final 12 league matches and made a considerable contribution to us winning the Bundesliga 2 title. In an interview, the 22-year-old spoke about the title win, how pleased he is to be called up to the Germany U21 Men’s national team squad, and his personal development.

Simon Terodde: You have to be hungry until the final whistle as a striker

Striker Simon Terodde made it 3-0 in injury time on Saturday in the win over 1. FC Heidenheim. It was already his 22nd goal this season. The 34-year-old spoke to schalke04.de about his goal, the celebrations after it and the support from the fans.

Thomas Ouwejan: Working on set pieces in training paid off once again

A Thomas Ouwejan free-kick set up Schalke’s important first goal against SC Paderborn 07. It was the Dutch wing-back’s eighth assist already this season. Simon Terodde: I won’t forget it that easily

Simon Terodde has scored once in each of the three games after the winter break, and is looking to continue that run against Düsseldorf on Sunday (13/2). Not only will the striker come up against his former club, but he will also face his former coach, as well as his strike partner from his time in Stuttgart.
