S04 loan right-back Jonjoe Kenny from Everton FC

Newcomer from the Premier League: FC Schalke 04 have signed right-back Jonjoe Kenny on loan from Everton for the upcoming 2019/20 season. The 22-year-old (15th March 1997) came through the youth system at Everton and has made 14 appearances for England U21s. Kenny’s contract with Everton currently runs until the summer of 2022. The defender will remain with England at the U21 Euros before joining Schalke’s pre-season later on in the summer.

FC Schalke 04 re-sign Bernard Tekpetey

After a very successful season for SC Paderborn 07 in the 2. Bundesliga, FC Schalke 04 have activated a buy-back clause to re-sign Bernard Tekpetey from the newly promoted Bundesliga side. Tekpetey scored ten goals and provided six assists in 32 appearances in eastern Westphalia to help Paderborn secure back-to-back promotions. The Ghanaian will rejoin the Royal Blues on 1st July 2019 and the club hierarchy are currently discussing his sporting future at the club.

Schalke extend contract with Michael Langer until June 30th 2021

He’s staying for further two years amongst the goalkeeping ranks of the Royal Blues. Schalke has extended Michael Langer’s contract until June 30th, 20221. In 2017, the Austrian was made the Royal Blues’ third choice keeper.

Michael Reschke named technical director at FC Schalke 04

The club’s new management setup is taking shape, with Michael Reschke set to take on the newly created role of technical director from 1st June 2019. He has agreed a three-year contract running until 30th June 2022. His tasks will include restructuring the first-team scouting department and squad planning.

David Wagner becomes new head coach of Schalke 04

The Royal Blues have appointed a new head coach for the upcoming season: a highly motivated David Wagner. The 47-year-old (born: 19th October 1971) has signed a three year contract with Schalke 04 until the summer of 2022. Wagner had been head coach of Premier League outfit Huddersfield Town until January this year.

Home-grown talent Nassim Boujellab signs professional contract with Schalke

Nassim Boujellab is the latest product of Schalke’s youth academy to make the jump into the club’s first team. The 19-year-old’s first professional contract with Schalke will run until 30 June 2022, as his current contract was due to run out at the end of the 2018-19 season.

S04 to be without Mark Uth for the time being

Mark Uth picked up picked up an adductor injury in the latter stages of the DFB Pokal quarter-final defeat to Werder Bremen on Wednesday (03/04/19).He underwent an MRI scan on the day after the game. Further inspections will be made on Friday in Munich.
