FC Schalke 04 striker Cedric Teuchert will join Bundesliga 2 side Hannover 96 on loan for the 2019/20 season. The 22 year-old’s current contract with the Royal Blues runs until 30th June 2021.

S04 extend contract with Weston McKennie until 2024

Head of Sport Jochen Schneider today announced that Weston McKennie’s contract has been extended until 2024. McKennie’s contract was due to expire at the end of the 2021/22 season.

Breel Embolo will leave FC Schalke 04 to sign for Borussia Mönchengladbach. Both clubs agreed terms on Friday (28/6).

Two new assistant coaches for David Wagner – Improve the team

David Wagner has assembled his backroom staff team. The new head coach of Schalke 04 will work alongside assistant coaches Christoph Bühler and Frank Fröhling. Matthias Kreutzer will also be part of the coaching team. The 36-year-old has been working for the Royal-Blues since mid-March and recently worked alongside interim manager Huub Stevens.

Royal Blues to face FC Twente in pre-season friendly on 23rd July

On Tuesday, 23rd July, FC Schalke 04 will travel to Enschede in the Netherlands to take on FC Twente in a pre-season friendly (19:00 CEST). The newly promoted Eredivisie side, who were also crowned Dutch champions in 2010, will host the match at De Grolsch Veste.

Liverpool forced to cancel friendly match

After today’s announcement of the Premier League fixture schedule, Champions League winners Liverpool have had to cancel to planned friendly against Schalke 04, which was due to take place on the 6th August. The two clubs have agreed to attempt to carry out the fixture in 2020.

S04 loan right-back Jonjoe Kenny from Everton FC

Newcomer from the Premier League: FC Schalke 04 have signed right-back Jonjoe Kenny on loan from Everton for the upcoming 2019/20 season. The 22-year-old (15th March 1997) came through the youth system at Everton and has made 14 appearances for England U21s. Kenny’s contract with Everton currently runs until the summer of 2022. The defender will remain with England at the U21 Euros before joining Schalke’s pre-season later on in the summer.

FC Schalke 04 re-sign Bernard Tekpetey

After a very successful season for SC Paderborn 07 in the 2. Bundesliga, FC Schalke 04 have activated a buy-back clause to re-sign Bernard Tekpetey from the newly promoted Bundesliga side. Tekpetey scored ten goals and provided six assists in 32 appearances in eastern Westphalia to help Paderborn secure back-to-back promotions. The Ghanaian will rejoin the Royal Blues on 1st July 2019 and the club hierarchy are currently discussing his sporting future at the club.

Jonas Carls receives professional contract until June 30th 2022

Schalke extend contract with Michael Langer until June 30th 2021

He’s staying for further two years amongst the goalkeeping ranks of the Royal Blues. Schalke has extended Michael Langer’s contract until June 30th, 20221. In 2017, the Austrian was made the Royal Blues’ third choice keeper.

Michael Reschke named technical director at FC Schalke 04

The club’s new management setup is taking shape, with Michael Reschke set to take on the newly created role of technical director from 1st June 2019. He has agreed a three-year contract running until 30th June 2022. His tasks will include restructuring the first-team scouting department and squad planning.
