Mark Uth pulls out of the Germany squad

Mark Uth pulled a muscle during the 3-0 defeat in Frankfurt on Sunday (11/11) and was therefore taken off in the 52nd minute. A more detailed diagnosis will follow in due course.

Hamza Mendyl ruled out for approximately four weeks

Hamza Mendyl, who suffered an ankle injury in the DFB-Pokal game with 1. FC Köln, has now had his injury examined and has received a diagnosis.

Naldo extends his contract with FC Schalke 04 until 30th June 2020

“I am not ready to finish my time here yet,” says Naldo as he made intentions clear following his achievements last season. The Brazilian is fully healthy and wants to continue to play football at the highest possible level at FC Schalke 04. The Royal Blues have extended the centre-back’s contract with the club for an additional year, meaning Naldo is under contract at Schalke until 30th June 2020.

Club sponsors Gazprom have organised a friendly between FC Schalke 04 and Zenit St. Petersburg, which will take place on Sunday, 18th November 2018. The game will kick off at 18:00 (CEST).

Assistant coach Peter Perchtold extends contract with S04 until 2021.

The Royal Blues have agreed a contract extension with assistant coach Peter Perchtold. His contract was due to expire on 30th June 2019, but has been extended by two years until 30th June 2021.

S04 appeal Nastasic red card

Schalke had to finish their first game of the new Bundesliga season with ten men. After a tackle by Matija Nastasic on Wout Weghorst, the video assistant intervened and referee Patrick Ittrich subsequently changed his decision from a yellow to a red card for the Schalke centre-half.
