Things are certainly going well for Alessandro Schöpf in an Austrian shirt right now. After scoring the winner in last week’s 1-0 win over Russia, the Royal Blue was at it again on Saturday night as he struck the decider against world champions Germany to seal a 2-1 win for his country. Alessandro Schöpf was the hero for Austria in the friendly against World Cup hosts Russia on Wednesday (30.05.). The midfielder scored the game’s only goal with a penalty in the 28th minute to hand Austria, who failed to qualify for the tournament, a 1-0 win.
