Taylan Bulut returns to training following illness

Taylan Bulut was able to return to training on Tuesday (11/2) after having missed last weekend’s trip to Cologne due to illness. The right-back was able to complete parts of team training as the Royal Blues prepare to host Karlsruher SC on Sunday (16/2).

Justin Heekeren did not train on Tuesday due to a cold. Moussa Sylla also remains sidelined after picking up a muscle strain during training last Friday, causing him to miss the trip to Cologne.

Peter Remmert and Seok-ju Hong from the club’s U23s took part in the session, having featured in a 0-0 draw against 1. FC Bocholt in the Regionalliga West last weekend.

Meanwhile, Mauro Zalazar remains on international duty with Uruguay U20s, as they take part in the final stage of the South American U-20 Championship in Venezuela. Zalazar has featured in six of Uruguay’s seven matches so far at the tournament. After suffering two defeats in the final round of the competition, Uruguay are now unable to top the group and win the tournament. There is still plenty to play for in their last two matches against Paraguay on Thursday (13/2) and Colombia on Sunday (16/2). This is because the top four teams will all progress to the U-20 World Cup, which is being held in Chile in the autumn.
