Three points, a goal, and a party with the fans after the final whistle: it’s safe to say that Sebastian Polter was happy with Schalke’s 3-1 win over VfL Bochum on Saturday evening. The fact the Royal Blues’ number 40 scored his first goal in his new shirt against the side he moved to Gelsenkirchen from is, he said, “just one of those things that happens more often than usual in football. I’m delighted to have scored, but the much more important thing is the win.”
