Ahmed Kutucu has already taken several steps in his footballing career this season. He has appeared four times in the Bundesliga this season, and scored his first goal in the 3-1 away win at Stuttgart. Now the 18-year-old has signed his first professional contract at the club – which will run until 30th June, 2022.

A huge British talent has signed for the Royal Blues: FC Schalke 04 have signed Rabbi Matondo from the current English champions Manchester City. The 18-year-old has been given a four-year contract, which will expire on June 30th, 2023. He will wear the number 14 shirt. Both clubs have agreed to keep the deal private.

Salif Sané to return to team training

Salif Sané’s injury sustained in Friday’s friendly isn’t as bad as first feared. The Senegalese defender was taken off during Friday’s match against KRC Genk with an ankle injury but luckily, he hasn’t suffered any structural damages. Sané underwent an MRT scan shortly after returning to Germany from Schalke’s winter training camp in Benidorm. The centre-back could return to team training on Tuesday, 15th January.

Seppo Eichkorn makes comeback to Schalke coaching staff
