S04 travel to training camp with 28 players

FC Schalke 04 are on the move to their winter training camp in the Turkish Riviera. Thomas Reis’ side will spend ten days there in total as they look to get themselves ready for the second half of the season. The 28-player squad will set off from Düsseldorf airport to Antalya and will fly with SunExpress. Niklas Tauer, who recently joined the Royal Blues on loan from 1. FSV Mainz 05, will also be with the team.

Winter training camp in Belek – Friendly against FCN

Thomas Reis’ team will prepare for the rest of the season in Belek at the start of 2023. The squad will fly out on 2nd January and return to Germany on 11th January 2023. The flights from Düsseldorf to Antalya and back have been provided by the club’s airline partner SunExpress. Schalke will take on friends 1. FC Nürnberg in a friendly during the time in Turkey.

Frank Kramer: The team pushed themselves hard over the whole week

Two draws in friendlies against top-division opposition, a 5-0 win in a training game, good intensity in the training sessions and no injury worries: As the Mittersill training camp came to a close, head coach Frank Kramer gave a positive assessment. The only small point of improvement he had was that his team could not secure the win in Sunday’s friendly against FC Augsburg.

5-0 win over FC Kufstein

FC Schalke 04 won 5-0 against FC Kufstein in a friendly arranged at short notice. The game started at 12:00 CEST in Mittersill against the Austrian third-division side and served to give minutes to those players that weren’t going to feature for S04 later on today against FC Augsburg. New signing Alex Král played for the first time since joining earlier this week.

Rouven Schröder: You can’t force movement in the transfer market

On Thursday (14/7) the club completed another transfer, bringing Alex Král to the club on a one-year deal. Here we go, it’s time for the training camp in Mittersill! Schalke 04 have safely arrived at the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern, with the team bus, which was transporting the 32 players who have travelled to Austria, pulling into the Schloss Mittersill car park at precisely 15:08 CEST.

S04 to host training camp in Mittersill in July

Following FC Schalke 04’s successful promotion back to the Bundesliga, the club have already laid plans in preparation for the 2022/23 season. The team will take part in a pre-season training camp in the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region from 11th to 20th July.

S04’s 2022 training camp to take place at tourism partner Hohe Tauern

FC Schalke 04 and the Austrian national park Hohe Tauern GmbH will continue their successful and highly valued cooperation. The new agreement to this tourism partnership, which began in 2016, will now run until 30th June 2023, with the option to extend the deal too. The Royal Blues will once again hold their summer training camps in Austria during this period.
