Together with 11teamsports and adidas: S04’s new away kit in the colours of Gelsenkirchen

All roads lead to Schalke: The new 2024/25 away shirt, presented by the Royal Blues in partnership with suppliers 11teamsports and adidas, is dedicated to the home city of the Knappen. And right there, in the centre of Gelsenkirchen, is where it will be available to see for the first time: S04 and BOGESTRA have come together to get this shirt launch right on track. Line 302, which connects the neighbouring cities of Gelsenkirchen and Bochum, was given a matching look and will be underway along this route for half a year.

That’s not all, because on Thursday morning (1/8) there were different activities taking place along this line, including Ron Schallenberg, Mehmet Can Aydin and Michael Langer, as well as S04 board members Matthias Tillmann and Christina Rühl-Hamers getting on the tram in the new away shirt and randomly giving them away to Schalke fans present.

The white shirt is set off with green highlights and vertical black and green stripes to allude to the city colours of Gelsenkirchen. However, this home connection is not only subtly expressed through the colours, but is also immortalised through the presence of the Gelsenkirchen city coat of arms present on the neck of the shirt. Just like with the home and third kit, the Schalke crest sits proudly on the front, as does the adidas logo, with the logo of new main sponsor SUN MINIMEAL printed on the chest of the shirt.

The printing on the back of the shirt is also a reference to S04 history, with the Schalke lettering printed in the club’s own font, including the special pit-head frame design on the A on the word ‘Schalke’. The shoulders are adorned with the iconic three adidas stripes, while the sleeves will initially be left free. As soon as a partner is confirmed, it will be possible to add this additional printing to the shirt on request at a later date in one of the fan shops. The away kit will be completed with a choice of either black or white shorts with green details, as well as green or white socks with an additional ‘GE’ on the front.

The new away shirt is now available online at shop.schalke04.de/en and in all S04 fan shops. The men’s and women’s versions of the shirt are priced at €89.95 in sizes from S to XXXL. Children’s shirts are also available in the sizes of 128-176, priced at €69.95.

Shakhtar Donetsk to play Champions League matches at Schalke

Special cooperation in dark times: Because leading Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk will still not be able to play their matches at their own stadium in the 2024/2025 season, FC Schalke 04 will host their games at the VELTINS-Arena. The Ukrainians will therefore play all Champions League matches at Schalke, both in the new-look league phase and possible later matches.
