SUN AG are FC Schalke 04’s new main sponsor with their product MINIMEAL

A company with a clear vision and high standards will be FC Schalke 04’s new shirt sponsor. SUN AG, with their product MINIMEAL, are S04’s new main sponsor. As part of this partnership, the Swiss company will have extensive advertising rights, including a TV-relevant presence on matchdays and a cross-media presence on the club’s social media channels.

“For SUN AG, the partnership with Schalke 04 is a big step on our way to a new form of nutrition. We want to show people a sustainable alternative, which suits every lifestyle and can still be enjoyed,” explained Wolfgang Grabher, founder and chairman of the board at SUN AG. “With MINIMEAL, we have created the first meal replacement product which is naturally complete in terms of nutrients – it has everything you need to fully nourish the body – and it’s all with less than 1,000 calories a day.”

MINIMEALS are ready to eat and fit in every pocket. They simply and easily replace sugary snacks, fruit or high-calorie meals. At the same time, they stop you from having to always count your calories, replace unhealthy and complex diets and guarantee a safe and transparent supply of nutrients on a purely plant-based basis.

Scientific studies carried out on behalf of SUN AG show that the consumption of MINIMEALS support the body in supplying all essential nutrients in exactly the right amount it needs to live and cannot produce itself. It’s the first form of nutrition that can fully cover the nutritional requirements of a day (800 calories) without going hungry.

Matthias Tillmann, FC Schalke 04 CEO, commented on the partnership with the club’s new main sponsor: “We’re really pleased to announce this partnership and we want to make great memories together. SUN AG and Schalke 04 both look to produce top results and innovative solutions in their respective fields. With SUN MINIMEAL, the company has created a unique product that has been perfected to the very last detail – just like we try to do with our players when it comes to their nutrition. I would also like to take this chance to thank Sportfive for their joint efforts in finding a new main sponsor.”

Improving eating habits to benefit people and the world as a whole is also a major concern for SUN AG. Sustainability and innovation are two values that come together with MINIMEAL. The “Race for Soil” initiative aims to draw attention to the alarming decline in fertile arable land. For more than 50 years, around 1% of the Earth’s farmland – around 10 million hectares, or 14,300 football pitches – has been rendered infertile. As part of this new partnership, SUN AG and FC Schalke 04 will campaign for the conservation of arable land. “Humanity needs to find the right balance in order to maintain the fertility of our soil and simultaneously support and feed a growing population. That’s why we launched the ‘Race for Soil’ campaign in order to promote more conscious attitudes towards nutrition, especially in Western countries. Together with FC Schalke 04, we want to make people more aware of this,” explained Wolfgang Grabher.

The Swiss company manufactures SUN Minimeal, which is the first-ever pocket-sized meal which naturally contains just the right amount of all the essential nutrients. SUN’s aim is to provide access to a healthy, wholefood diet, which is easy, comfortable, secure, and affordable and, in the process, help to reduce the expenditure of resources by 90%.
