Thomas Ouwejan out for three games with knee injury

FC Schalke 04 will be without Thomas Ouwejan for the remaining three games in 2022. The left-back suffered an injury to his MCL in his left knee in Sunday’s game against SC Freiburg (30/10).

The Dutchman joins a long list of injured players for the Royal Blues. Centre-backs Leo Greiml (meniscus operation), Marcin Kaminski (cut to his calf), Ibrahima Cissé (muscle injury) and Sepp van den Berg (ligament damage) are all out for the remainder of the year, as well as midfielder Rodrigo Zalazar (broken metatarsal).
